Some of you might have heard about GPRS or Global Pinoy Remittance and Services, some might have been invited to attend seminar or orientation. Most of you might be thinking, is this another one of those pyramiding scam? MLM Business is actually legal in the Philippines you just have to distinguish which company is legit or illegal.
Global Pinoy Remittance and Services is a Filipino owned company. The owner is Mr. Emmanuel Pascual, accountant by profession with different businesses aside from GPRS. He has also been in the Network Marketing industry since 1998. He started to put up GPRS in 2006, it offers different services which is Money Remittance, Bills Payment, Domestic and International Airline Ticketing, Unified Loading and Travel and Tours. GPRS has its own IT provider which UNLITECH Solutions. GPRS has legal documents to from SEC and BANGKO SENTRAL ng PILIPINAS. The company open its doors in franchising for entrepreneurs who wants to have the kind of system that GPRS offers. It has 700 ++ local and international outlets and still growing.
In 2011, GPRS started its marketing arm called Unified Products and Services (UPS). UPS is the network marketing side of GPRS. Instead of spreading the company's existence through traditional advertising, paying top commercial models and advertising companies, he used network marketing as an advertising tool for his company.Mr. Pascual wanted to share his business to entrepreneurs with small capital by being a dealer of GPRS. By being a dealer you can start having GPRS services and system right away at a very affordable price. Dealers can use the services for personal use and extra income. Dealers spread out the system to other people by sharing them the opportunity of being a GPRS dealer and continue advertising it. As a dealer and advertiser, GPRS gives bonuses and incentives to the dealers in return. The companies system is easy, reliable and convenient to use and majority of its dealer are OFW. For the main convenience that it gives through sending remittances to their family. 
Global Pinoy Remittance and Services Inc. is a traditional business just like a simple Sari-sari store around the corner. A franchising business like the popular fast food chains. A network marketing business opportunity for every Filipino with small capital who wants to have their own business. It is an all-in-one business company opportunity for everyone.
Now let me define what is pyramiding, pyramiding actually came from the binary model that is usually used by MLM companies. The model of a binary system that looks like this:
The binary system works by recruiting two person as your downline. From that two person they will also recruit two person for their downline and the recruiting goes and depicts a model that looks like a pyramid. The question is what does this member gets from recruiting? For every person that they recruit they get incentives or bonuses from the person that they directly recruit under their network. Some companies even offer incentive for indirect referral added within your network. Another question is what does the new recruit gets from being a new member? This is where some scam takes place in recruiting. Wherein some people makes promising offers that is not offered by the company. Some may not render any products or services that is promised by the recruiter after recruiting the person. Some companies may not have proper documentation or permits to present in the first place. For the complete definition of the bill concerned with MLM Business and distinction from a pyramiding scheme read the Republic Act No. 7394.
Pyramid scam are companies that doesn't have proper documentation, doesn't give any product or services that is equivalent to what you have invested. A company that doesn't have an office. A company that doesn't have reliable system to start with. A one-sided company wherein the company benefits the most from the efforts of its member.
Is GPRS system a scam? GPRS has more than 15,000 dealers globally, a little key note to those who says it is a scam. If the system is not working or a scam then the 15,000 dealers who are using the system should have complaint already. Electric bill is the main utility bill that every household is paying monthly right?! Those 15,000 dealers are paying their utility bill using the system, if the system is bogus then those 15,000 dealers should have complained already because their payment wasn't posted to the electric company. They have been using the system for months. With airline ticketing, if transactions are unreliable or bogus then a lot of people have complained also because they we're denied at the airport. Those are just simple things to think about first before judging the company. The system only becomes unreliable due to people who didn't learn how the system is used or how it works. Any business-minded people knows that to do business you should know it first, study how it will work and not just jumping into a business without any knowledge.

That is true too..first time transaction ko nga with gprs ay nagkakaproblema na. Halos apat na business days bago na resolva yung problem ko with the help of my upline. Hindi kabesado ng CSR ang trabaho nila..the system is good but the customer service is not..
DeleteHindi nga ako nag offer ng bills payment dito sa area ko kasi as a dealer, limited lang ang transaction. max. of 10 transactions only per day. So yung ibang customer ay talagang ma-iirita pag lumampas ng 10 ang magbabayad for that day.

Deletethis hit my last night when they forced my wife to join their network and kahit ano ano pang mga matatamis na opportunity ang mga pinag sabi sabi. and what's worst is both of them are her aunties. what i think about this networking stuff is most of the people who fought for IT are people who cannot accept that they too have been scammed OR enjoyed scamming people for money. yes they did earn a lot of money from scamming people pero para sa akin, di ko kayang itataya ang kaluluwa ko para lang magsinungaling. ilang taon lang tayo na dito sa mundo at sa kabilang buhay ay eternity. i dont want to spend my eternity sa impyerno or my soul wondering in purgatory. bahala na sila if they have become millionairs.kahit liit lang ang negosyo namin at least were not ROBBING people!

Dealers complained enough. I am one of them..at makikita yung mga complaints ng mga members mismo sa gprs website ng mga members. Kaya lang..yung mga frontliners-I meant customer service representatives ay ayaw magrereply,,o kung mag reply man-it takes many days. So mas mabuti na pag may complain ka about their service,,,i ym nyo kaagad at pagalitan niyo yung representative. Kasi pag ne-respeto mo sila sobra..aabusuhin ka lang nila by ignoring your request. Yan ang experience ko. Kaya everytime na may problema ako at hindi nagrereply yung CSR sa YM..minumura ko. I am not saying na mumurahin nyo din sila, but in my case, it works. Just sharing my experience...

ReplyDeleteYes. This is for real..there are many packages you can avail depending on your needs. Sabi mo, you wanted to sell airline tickets and tour packages, with Global Dealership, you can sell both domestic and international tickets. They partnered with almost all types of airline companies worldwide. So tour packages nman, its included in the package kaya lang..its not on the system. The menu travel and tours is available but the actual service is not. You will only find tours being offered, but to sell them, you have to contact GPRS travel and tours department..they will do the booking and sent back to you via email.

There is a two million Peso reward out for him.
What will you do when your pyramid finally saturates and the bubble bursts, leaving a lot of people out in the cold and without the money you promise?
I know of several people right now who probably won't press charges on you, but they have given up on trying to get people to use your services.
Good luck and be sure you have a good attorney on reserve for when you are finally brought down.

DeleteIn fairness to GPRS, their e-loading system is alright. But I did not get it for that. I was more interested with the airline ticketing so I decided to get the P7,998 dealer plan for local booking, just to try it. I was planning to upgrade it to international booking if all worked well. To my disappointment, I realized that using their booking facility is more expensive to the customer than doing it directly through the airline's website. Imagine, when you book through GPRS, you would have to charge your client twice the booking fee if you would like to earn because GPRS would charge you a booking fee--what in the world?! Try comparing two bookings from Cebu Pacific that are exactly the same. One created in Cebu Pacific Website, and the other one in GPRS. You will be frustrated by how much you have overcharged your client using GPRS.

I am about to open my ticketing office this coming June and I am a bit confused whether to use the GPRS system or to book my clients directly to the airline's website cause when I compared the tickets prices, GPRS system charged over 500 pesos per ticket sold. And that's not all, in order for the dealer to gain something, he will add his own mark up. That what makes the ticket sold from GPRS a little bit higher compared to airline's website if you buy from them directly.

DeleteIt depends on what package you are going to avail. If you think of a remittance services, then 998 package would suit. FYI, GPRS now has no more -GCASH REMIT- service. Means, all the services offered thru GCASH Remit are gone too. No GCASH services either. GPRS removed it from their system. ALl in all for sending money, they have Smart padala, bank deposits(all types of banks available here in the philippines only, to another gprs outlet, and to GPRS VISA Card issued by gprs.

sa CSR naman, isang oras bago may sumagot sa landline nila, mahigit isang oras din pag sumagot sa YM nila.. at take note, invisible mode sila sa YM namin, pero sa website online sila.. nung nagcreate kami ng bagong account sa YM, ang bilis nila sumagot at online sila, nung madami na kaming reklamo, ganun na naman, ang bagal sumagot tapos invi mode na sa amin.. pinagtataguan na kami.. ang pamatay pa nilang sagot, tatawagan nalang nila kami for updates na ilang araw na wala pa ring tawag galing sa kanila kaya kelangan mo silang kulitin ulit sa phone na isang oras na wala pa rin sumasagot.. dalawang landline number tinatawagan hah, at isang mobile number..
Retailers ko, isa isa ng nag-aayawan.. kami nakakahiya kasi kami ang direktang humaharap sa mga tao at pangalan namin ang nasisira..
Lagi nalang system upgrade ang dahilan nila, pero wala naman naaayos sa system nila.. as of now, 81 prepaid cards at game cards ang hindi available sa paloading nila for three days already..

I've been in the company since last year at ang masasabi ko ay SAYANG NA SAYANG ANG PERA. Khit galawin ang business na ito ay wala rin mangyayari.. Napakaraming franchisee ang mga nagsara dahil sa kapalpakan ng system at hinde biro ang laki ng investment dito. Meron pa nga hinde na tlga nakapagtayo ng physical store dahil alam nila na masasayang lang ang investment. Biruin mo halos 900+ na franchisee, ang alam ko 30+ lang ang bukas. May mga sinasabing Authorized Franchise Agents (AFA) ang nagmamarket dito at nakita ko ang kawalan-professional ng paghandle nila ng problema lalo na ang office, khit sa pagrelease lang ng commission ay ang SOBRANG BAGAL at BULOK NA SISTEMA.. Pag mabalitaan nasa ibang network ka, isasara nmn ang account mo.. grabe noh?! SOBRANG PALPAK ng system, lalo pa kaya ang DEALER ACCOUNTS na P14,998 at P7,998.. sa bagay, sa mga nagiinvest, subukan nyung dikitan ang presidente MANNY PASCUAL, plgi nyu sa kanyang mararanig "NAGMAMADALI DAW SIYA" (na yumaman o maging Bilyonaryo). Ang ibig sabihin pagpasok nyu pa lang at nagbayad kau ng system, ay wala na siyang pakealam sa inyu dahil PERA LANG ANG HABOL NYA AT HINDE SERVICE.. Ang mga customer service cannot be reached pa plgi sa ym at ang mga uplines wala rin pag kelangan mo na.. PERA PERA LANG NAMAN TO ANG COMPANY.

ReplyDeleteI just joined as a Global Dealer days ago. I like the concept because I'm an OFW and I know I can make us of this. But so far, after days of joining, I find their software/system and support not reliable. I hope they can really improve on this. Or if anyone from technical support reading, please contact me.

ReplyDeleteDo i appear like a threat to you that you need to use capslock? Certain countries have some law regarding homebased/online business (for legalities and proper Taxations). Do my askings mean a threat to your company that you need to emphasize how big your group is in europe? Im just asking for your Office address so that we can visit you? Is it hard to answer that? By the way, i see no problem with this article (review). If you just read it thouroughly, it laid both some negative and positive sides of doing homebase business. And don't just always use the term 'nega'. Careful with your words, they sometimes reflect your personality.

And I weren't demanding for a big office to visit. And yes, you never mentioned that you have an office, that's why I asked you if you have one. Is there a problem asking that? ReplyDeleteit's not about the office, it's about the persons in the office to whom you can count on if ever there will be problems with the online chat/telephone support. People react if they where being hung up by customer support personnel or if they remain online for hours without receiving answers to their queries. Of course everyone will get angry if let's say you have some concerns and you were being passed like a ball for the resolution of your client's concern and in the end you get no support at all. every day is not always a good day. There will always be a problem especially technical ones. Some people are not well adept with computers and it will be good if you have an office where they can recieve proper trainings so that they can handle well some clients' issues. Agents/dealers are the frontliners of the company. Honestly, I didn't like the way you reacted about my questions. It sounds sarcastic to me. Dealers should know how to properly handle things like these. You can't just send someone away who seems to be uninterested with your offers. Don't mention about your 24/7 customer support if you 'dealer/retailer' don't even know what customer support means. I am sure you don't want to get bad customer support too. And about the legal thing I was asking, online businesses here in Italy are required to register in the government. Honestly, I don't know how your system works but if you will shell out more 'cents' to pay additional service charges, that's another concern. You have mentioned that the system was created for OFWs. I am sure you know well how OFWs will guard their money against some investments that's why others are so reluctant to say an immediate 'yes' to a certain offer but it doesn't mean that they are 'negative' people because they keep on throwing questions against you. It's not about fears and doubts, it's for the OFWs because you know well how hard is to earn money abroad. It's for the interested OFWs to learn on proper investing. It's for them to learn how to manage online accounts. And you can help them properly if you have an office instead of just solely relying on virtual offices. I will say it again, not all are computer savvy. If a certain company would like to grow, it will do investments too. You can't just say 'work hard, recruit more' to someone. Because all you do to your clients, it will reflect the company you are working for.

ReplyDeleteSir justinlee tama po kayo diyan.Sa katunayan nga po papunta na po dito this novemeber ang vice president po ng GPRS para ayusin ang legalities & office namin dito.Inaayos na po ng staff nila ung mga kailangan nilang documents papunta dito.Sadya lang pong pagkahirap ang pag aayos ng mga kailangang permit para po makapag open ng office dito dahil sadyang maraming dapat ayusin at tanging ang company lang po ang makakagawa nyan.Winowork out na po yan it need time lang po talaga.Lahat po kami dito looking forward & excited po for that event.

wag po kayong basta basta nagbabanta. Lilinawin ko, sa copyright issue na yan, wag kang basta basta nangongopya sa internet lalo pat nakalagay mismo sa original article ang copyright at date published at lalong lalo na kung ang kinopyahan ay isang online magazine hereby protected by copyright. at lalong lalo na na huwag kang basta basta nagpupublish sa mga online blogs o comments ng mga business-campaign-contents (picture man o artikulo) na basta lamang kinopya ng walang permission sa may-ari o gumawa nito at lalo na kung hindi ka man lang nagtanong sa direct leader o upper management ng kumpanyang binibilangan mo kung ayos lang ba ang gagawin mong pag gamit sa mga kinopyang bagay online (at wala kang nasasagasaang company rules/policy) dahil baka mademanda ng walang kaalam alam ang kumpanyang binibilangan mo dahil sa mga maling ginagawa mo. inaamin ko naman na nagkamali ako sa tinatawag mong pag-epal ko dito. at kung yan ang ikinasasama ng loob mo dahil sa pag-epal ko, paumanhin. pero naman, huwag mo ding talikuran ang mga salitang pagkalinaw linaw na binitawan mo dito. may ideya ka pala kung sino ako. okay yan. ipagpatuloy mo ang pagreresearch mo. Hindi ka pa kuntento? Naintindihan ko naman kung may problema ka, ganyan talaga ang buhay.

hindi ga puwedeng introduce ourselves muna Kupal? ganun ang umpisa ng nagtutunggali..Ako munang mauuna..isa laang akong hamak na website developer at nakikisawsaw kay epal para sumikat sa ganitong online blog.. Paulit-ulit na sinasabi sa atin ng Bibliya na ang gawaing bakla ay kasalanan (Genesis 19: 1-13; Levitico 18:22; Roma 1: 26-27; 1 Corinto 6:9). Partikular na itinuturo ng Roma 1: 26-27 na ang pagiging bakla ay resulta ng pagtanggi at pagsuway sa Diyos. Kung ang isang tao ay patuloy na gumagawa ng kasalanan at patuloy na hindi nananampalataya, sinasabi ng Bibliya sa atin na “ipinagkakaloob sila ng Diyos” sa mas matindi pang kasalanan upang ipakita sa kanila ang kawalang saysay at kawalang pag-asa ng buhay na hiwalay sa Diyos. Ipinapahayag ng 1 Corinto 6:9 na ang mga bakla ay walang bahagi sa kaharian ng Diyos. Hindi nilalang ng Diyos ang tao na may pagnanasa sa kanyang kaparehong kasarian. Sinasabi sa atin ng Bibliya na nagiging bakla ang isang tao dahil sa kasalanan (Roma 1: 24-27), at dahil sa ito’y kanilang sariling kagustuhan. Ang isang tao ay maaaring isilang na mas malaki ang posibilidad na maging bakla, kagaya halimbawa kung ang tao ay isinilang na may malaking posibilidad na gumawa ng dahas at iba pang mga kasalanan. Subalit hindi ito dahilan para sa mga taong mas piniling sundin ang kanilang mga makasalanang pagnanasa. Kung ang isang tao ay ipinanganak na mas may malaking posibilidad na madaling magalit, tama ba na magpa-alipin at sumunod siya sa naturang pagnanasa? Ang sagot ay Hindi! Katulad rin ito ng pagiging bakla. Subalit, hindi inilalarawan ng Bibliya na ang pagiging bakla ang “pinakamalaking” kasalanan kumpara sa iba. Ang lahat ng kasalanan ay kinamumuhian ng Diyos. Ang kabaklaan ay isa lamang sa maraming mga kasalanan na nakalista sa 1 Corinto 6: 9-10 na nagsasabing ito ang isa sa mga dahilan upang ang isang tao ay hindi makabahagi sa kaharian ng Diyos.
